About Devi McCallion

Early Life

Devi "April" McCallion is a singer-songwriter from Toronto, Canada. She was born May 16th, 1991. She came out as a transgender woman during the summer of 2006, based on her experience at CAMH. Like David Firth, the creator of Salad Fingers, she states that she initally went by the name "Dev" because of him - which later would be feminized to "Devi" by others. She would later go to Sheridan College.

Online Presence

Devi has gone under a multitude of aliases and psuedonyms. She originated in the Electropunkz scene, which consisted of self-proclaimed "MSI (Mindless Self Indulgence) ripoffs" on websites like myspace.com and vflaw.net which is where her first alias EAT BABIES? was created. However, she originally joined the band Ultra Cutez as mentioned in her song "Same Old Shit", the last track of the 1998 album under the EAT BABIES? name.

(note: will write some more info about this later, need to add disclaimers for speculation/dubious sources for information, rest of online presence is copy-pasted from the devipedia fandom wiki [which i worked on when i was like.. twelve.])

Devi was in the MLP fandom when it came out but struggled to make friends at the very start. She got better at making friends with other people who liked ponies as much as her. On tumblr there was a certain mlp ask blog called "Princess Molestia" and an 11 year old girl said how she didnt like it so she was harrased. Devi disliked the fact that a much of grown men and refutable MLP news sites were coming at this girl so she left the mlp fandom[2]
